What does a Revl network look like?

Depending on what Revl product you are using, there are several possible network configurations.

Presale

Presale Revl systems use an iPad for onboarding guests prior to their experience.

A presale only site will have just a few network components.

1. The RevlX server that is connected via ethernet to the network.  The camera docks are connected to the RevlX server via USB
2. iPads running the onboarding app. This iPad may also have and RFID reader. The RFID reader is not connected to the network. It connects to the iPad via BlueTooth
3. A router that connects the RevlX server and the iPad. This router should also provide a static DHCP lease for the RevlX server.
4. Revl UPloaders at Skydiving sites that are using GoPro cameras.

Typical Zipline setup with USB camera docks and RFID onboarding.

Postsale

Post sale Revl systems use Revl kiosks for purchases after the guest has been on their experience. Systems of this nature will be installed by a qualified Revl technician.

The postsale system consists of many network connected devices.
1. The RevlX Server that is connected via ethernet to the network. The camera docks are connected to the RevlX server via USB
2. Router/Switches/Access points as needed
3. Post Sale Kiosks that consist of three devices. The kiosk, the payment terminal, and the RFID reader. These will all be configured as either wired or wireless. If the connection is wired, a switch will be installed inside the kiosk housing that will reduce the three connections to a single ethernet connection. If the kiosk is configure for wireless, a wireless access point will be installed new the kiosks.

NOTE: In this type of install the RFID readers are configured with their own network connection.

A hybrid system does both presale via the iOS onboarding app and post sale via the Revl kiosk. Systems of this nature will be installed by a qualified Revl technician.

The hybrid system consists of many network connected devices.
1. The RevlX Server that is connected via ethernet to the network. The camera docks are connected to the RevlX server via USB
2. Router/Switches/Access points as needed
3. Post Sale Kiosks that consist of three devices. The kiosk, the payment terminal, and the RFID reader.
4. iPads running the onboarding app

NOTE: For this type of install the RFID readers for the kiosks are configured with their own network connection. And the RFID readers for the onboarding iPads are connected to the iPad via Bluetooth.
